Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness Advisory Council
The Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Advisory Council was established in 1986 to advise the Disability Law Center (DLC) on policies and priorities to be carried out in protecting and advocating the rights of individuals with mental illness. The Council is composed of consumers of mental health services, family members, providers, attorneys and other interested and knowledgeable persons from the community.
The Council is charged with the responsibility to establish programmatic priorities for the federal program, PAIMI. The Council meets the 1st Wednesday of each month, usually at the DLC in Salt Lake City.
